Miami vs Virginia Tech live stream: Watch Hurricanes vs Hokies online
Here’s how you can watch Thursday evening’s Miami vs Virginia Tech game from Lane Stadium online.
Miami has lost a couple of games after starting the season 4-0 and ranked in the top 10, but it’s up to Mark Richt to right the ship. Facing his first form of adversity since taking over as the Hurricanes’ head coach this offseason, Richt needs to figure out what went wrong.
Junior quarterback Brad Kaaya has had a solid season and was expected to flourish under Richt. He has passed for 1,373 yards and 10 touchdowns with a 62 percent completion rate. His favorite targets have been Ahmmond Richards and Stacy Coley who have combined for 41 receptions for 662 yards and seven touchdowns.
Averaging 188 yards per game on the ground, the Hurricanes are led by a two-headed monster in the backfield. Mark Walton and Joseph Yearby have combined for 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns on 165 carries.
Virginia Tech, on the other hand, has the same record as the Hurricanes, but the Hokies are coming off a disappointing 31-17 loss against Syracuse. This was shocking seeing as the Hokies were coming off a big 34-3 win against North Carolina on the road the week before.
Jerod Evans has played well this season as a JUCO transfer, becoming the type of quarterback the Hokies needed. The junior has passed for 1,352 yards and 17 touchdowns with only two picks and a 63 percent completion rate. He also ranks second on the team with 319 rushing yards and two scores.
Both teams have a very similar run game, averaging 188 yards per game apiece. However, Isaiah Ford is the main weapon on offense the Hurricanes need to keep an eye on. The Hokies’ wide out leads the team with 459 yards and five touchdowns on 32 receptions.
