College Football Running Back Power Rankings: Week 9
By Tyler Brooke
It’s the Year of the Running Back in college football, and these 10 players at the position have stood out heading into Week 9.
There are so many talented running backs in college football this season. From LSU’s Leonard Fournette to Florida State’s Dalvin Cook to even some under-the-radar names, there are too many talented backs to count.
However, these 10 running backs have stood out as we near the end of October. Let’s check out the latest college football running back power rankings heading into Week 9.
The Wyoming Cowboys are far from the biggest powerhouse in college football, but with a 5-2 record and a talented running back in Brian Hill, this team is starting to make some noise in the Mountain West conference.
Hill is one of just two players in college football with more than 1,000 yards rushing this season, putting up 1,010 yards and 11 touchdowns so far this year. Those numbers got a big boost this past week when he ran for 289 yards and three scores in the shootout win over Nevada.
We’re not going to put Hill any higher than No. 10 on this list simply because he’s going against weaker competition, but the Wyoming running back definitely deserves a hat tip for the performance he put up this past weekend.
