College Football Running Back Power Rankings: Week 9
By Tyler Brooke
The Texas Longhorns looked like they were going to make a run this season when they took down the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in overtime in their season opener. Now, the Longhorns are just 3-4 and hoping to at least reach a bowl game.
Running back D’Onta Foreman has at least been doing what he can to keep the Longhorns in games. The junior has run for 100 yards in every single game he’s played in, totaling 855 yards and eight touchdowns on the year.
At 6’1” and 249 pounds, Foreman is still averaging 6.1 yards per carry. He’s capable of picking up yards in bunches and has done a great job of keeping the Longhorns offense moving.
If Texas was winning more games, we’d be hearing a lot more about Foreman. Unfortunately, that’s not the case, but Foreman could still be playing on Sundays in the near future.
