5. Jimbo Fisher

Total Annual Salary: $5,250,000

Although Jimbo Fisher continually denies it, his name is constantly connected with the LSU vacancy. I can’t comprehend it. LSU just ran off Les Miles, who won a National Championship with the Bayou Bengals. Why would Fisher want to gamble his current gig for that situation?

Jimbo Fisher has won a national title and made a College Football Playoff appearance in his six years as a head college football coach. The ACC also provides an easier route to a repeat appearance than the SEC.

What has Florida State done in return? The Seminoles have made him the fifth-highest paid coach in college football. I just can’t see him leaving.

National success? Yes. Easier conference? Check. Handsomely rewarded? Definitely.
