Check out how to stream this nonconference game between the Army Black Knights (4-3) and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (5-2).

The game will be called football, but it might resemble Keep Away more. Both of these teams love to possess the ball as long as possible. Wake Forest is a game from being bowl eligible for the first time since 2011. Army has lost three of their last four including  their last trip down to Tobacco Road, a 13-6 game at Duke. The Demon Deacons are trying for their 10th straight win over the  Military Academy. Army has not beaten Wake since 1989 and not ever in Winston-Salem.

Wake Forest’s offensive rankings are abysmal. They are well into the 100s in everything, but rushing where they are tied at 80th. This is with one of the softest schedules you can have in the ACC. Their defense is statistically much better, but they are aided by the offensive philosophy of ball control. If you have the ball and refuse to turn it over your 16th-ranked scoring defense has an easier job. Quarterback John Wolford has 4 interceptions on the year, three of them have come in the last two games without a passing touchdown.  The Deacons are still 18th in turnover margin.

Army has the unique and honorable distinction to be the FBS Independent with the best record after eight weeks of the season. Admittedly this is a down year for those teams without a conference affiliation. Army is the only one with a winning record. Notre Dame, a trendy College Football Playoff pick, has completely fallen apart. The Black Knights are a team that could have played before the forward pass was invented. They are second in rushing yards with 357.6 per game and are dead last in passing at just 82.9 yards per game.

The line opened with Wake Forest as a 7-point favorite. While there have been more fluctuations, both up and down, than you would normally see for a game of this stature, it ultimately settled back at where it started. However, conceivably, one person could be holding winning tickets on both teams if Wake wins by a touchdown.
