College Football Rankings 2016: Projected AP Top 25 after Week 10
By Zach Bigalke
On Friday night the Broncos rebounded from last weekend’s loss to Wyoming, running up the score on San Jose State in a 45-31 victory. Jeremy McNichols rushed for 158 yards and two scores. Brett Rypien looked composed at quarterback, completing 16 of 21 for 219 yards and three touchdowns. The defense gave up nearly 500 ponts against the Spartans, but held on to keep pace in the MWC Mountain race a game behind the Cowboys.
Boise State managed to remain in the AP Top 25 after losing to Wyoming, and they were rated in the same spot at #24 by the CFP committee as well. The biggest thing working against the Broncos in the battle for a New Year’s Six bowl invite is that they need Wyoming to lose twice to guarantee themselves a spot in the Mountain West championship game. Without the conference crown, a Group of Five team is. out of the race for that automatic access. They should remain down in the bottom of both the AP and CFP rankings this week.
