The Ohio State Buckeyes got the second half against the Nebraska Cornhuskers started with a bang on a huge pass from J.T. Barrett to Curtis Samuel for a touchdown.

One of the biggest games of Saturday in college football was a Big Ten, Top 10 showdown between the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Ohio State Buckeyes. Unfortunately for the casual fan, the game wasn’t exactly thrilling.

Ohio State completely dominated the first half, going into the locker room up 31-3 at halftime. If you thought that the Buckeyes were just going to coast in the second half and just try to run the clock out, you would be wrong.

On the very first play of the second half, Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett was looking deep and found his target in Curtis Samuel. Samuel was then able to escape a would-be tackler and take the pass the rest of the way for a 75-yard touchdown to put Ohio State up 38-3.

Both teams desperately needed a win to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive. Unfortunately for Nebraska, it looks like this is going to be a huge loss. To make matters worse, Tommy Armstrong went down with a scary concussion in the first half that led him to be rushed out of the stadium in an ambulance.

As for the Buckeyes, a win on Saturday will set up an interesting matchup in the final week of the regular season against the Michigan Wolverines. If they can’t beat Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines, then they’re CFP chances will go up in smoke.
