College Football Playoff Rankings: Projected Top 10 after Week 10
The Clemson Tigers are my No. 2 team yet again and I’ve been ranking them second in my playoff projections for most of the season over the Michigan Wolverines. Why is this? Well, the Tigers’ quality of wins far exceeds that of Michigan.
While Michigan has no issue taking care of inferior opponents with ease, the Tigers do the same while also beating squads like Louisville and Florida State along the way. Add in an Auburn victory on the road that’s looking better by each passing week and you have an impressive list of wins by 9-0 Clemson.
Oh yeah, and this team went to the national title game last season and was within a few big plays of taking down the Crimson Tide. Clemson is a legit title contender yet again and as long as the Tigers take care of business in the final three games and do what they’re capable of in the ACC championship, they’ll likely be the second-favorite team to win it all.
Deshaun Watson is one of the top Heisman contenders in the nation, but he did suffer an injury scare against Syracuse last week that had some fans’ hearts skipping beats. He did return to the sideline and was cleared to return, but the coaching staff took the cautious approach.
Clemson is the best team in the ACC by a wide margin, but can this year’s Tigers take down this year’s Crimson Tide?
