South Florida has already upset Navy once this season, but they also need help just to set up a potential rematch. The Bulls beat Memphis last week in a shooutout, surviving on the road in a game that featured 91 points and nearly 1300 yards of offense. Only a late stop by the defense on the final drive of the game managed to prevent overtime. USF quarterback Quinton Flowers rushed for 210 yards and threw for another 263 while accounting for five total touchdowns.

USF has its own problems though, as their fate is hardly in their own hands. The Bulls still need Temple to lose to either Tulane or East Carolina, given the fact that the Owls hold the head-to-head tiebreaker to decide the division in case of a tie in conference record. Unless Temple loses, it won’t matter what happens in South Florida’s final two games against SMU and UCF. Since only conference champions are considered for the Access Bowl invite, USF is in a precarious position at this point.
