2. Colorado wins first ever Pac-12 championship

Colorado is one of two current Pac-12 teams to never have won the Pac-12 championship. Utah is the only other school to have never won. Washington has won it 15 times, most recently in 2000. Colorado’s two losses this year are to two of the best teams in college football. The played Michigan close for three quarters, in the Big House and then lost by four points at USC.

Colorado is 13th in defense and are in the top 40 in offense. Meanwhile Washington is ranked in the top for total offense and defense. It’s a tough mountain to climb, but Colorado has fought hard all year and won’t back down to Washington. The Huskies feature one of the best QB’s in the country in Jake Browning. He has over 3,000 yards passing and 40 touchdowns on the year. Although 16 of those touchdowns are to one receiver, John Ross. Colorado features a great corner in Chidobe Awuzie. This could be the key matchup of the game. If Awuzie can lock down Ross, Browning will have to look for secondary options.

With that in place the Washington offense may stall on occasions and allow for Colorado to have the ball longer and to get a lead. Colorado’s defense will be the key, and I believe they have what it takes to be Pac12 champions.
