Alabama vs Florida: Live stream, preview and prediction
Here’s how you can watch Saturday evening’s Alabama vs Florida SEC Championship game from Atlanta online.
Can anyone beat Alabama this year? It’s been 13 weeks thus far and no team has really given the Crimson Tide much of a scare. Ole Miss may have been the biggest scare, but LSU was the most recent. Still, Nick Saban’s team is the unquestioned No. 1 in the nation.
Led by a freshman quarterback, Jalen Hurts, the Crimson Tide have been rolling through opponents. He has passed for 2,454 yards and 21 touchdowns with nine picks and is second on the team with 840 rushing yards and leads with 12 touchdowns.
The future Heisman contender has the luxury of passing to Calvin Ridley and ArDarius Stewart. The two have combined for 1,494 yards and 15 touchdowns with 111 receptions. Keep an eye on Damien Harris in the run game as well.
Florida will have the last crack at Alabama before the Crimson Tide head to the College Football Playoff. Why am I already dubbing the Tide one of the four best teams in the country? Even with a loss to No. 15 Florida, I believe they’re a lock for the playoff.
The Gators’ defense is what’s going to keep them in the game. The offense has been mediocre this season, but the defense can be a game-changer — much different than under Urban Meyer a decade ago. They’ve lost 2-of-4 games, scoring no more than 20 points in any contest.
Luke Del Rio might be out again on Saturday, handing the reigns to Purdue-transfer Austin Appleby to give his best shot at Alabama. He has passed for 964 yards and six touchdowns to two picks in mop-up duty during Del Rio injuries this season.

A rematch of last year’s SEC Championship, the Florida Gators once again find themselves as major underdogs. While they made it to the title game for a reason, I just think Alabama, led by Hurts, will be able to pull off a big win and head into the playoff as the No. 1 team yet again.
Prediction: Alabama 38, Florida 17
