This year’s class of quarterbacks has been one of the more heavily criticized in recent memory. While a handful of prospects like Deshaun Watson and Mitch Trubisky will be likely first-round picks, others like California’s Davis Webb are trying to prove that they can make an imapct at the next level as well.

Webb just looks like a potential NFL quarterback with his 6-foot-5, 230-pound frame. Coming out of a program that has produced QBs like Aaron Rodgers and Jared Goff, Webb is hoping that the Senior Bowl will be his chance to prove himself in front of scouts from all 32 NFL teams.

Although Webb doesn’t have the strongest arm in this class, he does put some great touch on his deep balls and pretty consistently hits his receivers in stride when they go deep. He isn’t the most mobile guy out there, but he does a pretty good job of making throws while on the run.

There are also a lot of question marks surrounding Webb’s game. His footwork leaves a lot to be desired, struggling to consistently step into throws. His ball placement is inconsistent, and a ton of his throws at Cal were checkdowns and bubble screens.

Webb isn’t being talked about as a first-round or even Day 2 guy this year. However, with a really impressive Senior Bowl, Webb has a chance to slide into the conversation as a middle-tier quarterback among the likes of Brad Kaaya and Patrick Mahomes.
