1. Florida Gators

Jim McElwain has done a tremendous job with the Florida Gators over the past two seasons, leading them to back-to-back SEC East titles. However, the Gators have fallen just short of winning the conference, getting blasted by the far superior Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC title game.

How can the Gators finally compete with Alabama after making it that far with 10-11 wins? By recruiting much better than they have. This recruiting cycle could wind up being the best in the young McElwain era and that’s because the big names left on the board could come in and contribute instantly.

Tedarrell Slaton is the No. 1 player left on the board for the Gators, ranking as the No. 69 player in the country and the second-best offensive guard. He has shown major athleticism for a 6-foot-5, 360-pound offensive lineman by excelling on the basketball court as well.

Austin, Texas, native Levi Jones is leaning toward in-state foe Florida State, but the Gators are still in the running for the four-star linebacker. Four-star wide out James Robinson could be a Gator by signing day, four-star athlete Christopher Henderson will be choosing between Florida, Alabama and Miami and Brad Stewart, the No. 153 player in the country, could be Florida’s next great cornerback.

Don’t sleep on three-star defensive end Tyrone Truesdell, three-star linebacker Nick Smith, five-star wide out Henry Ruggs III and five-star defensive end LaBryan Ray.
