The Ohio State Buckeyes had a successful National Signing Day. Here are their five biggest recruits after National Signing Day.

The Ohio State Buckeyes had a good National Signing Day, signing 21 players to their letter of intent to play for the scarlet and gray. The Buckeyes 2017 recruiting class is chock full of highly-rated and much-needed prospects.

Head coach Urban Meyer hit the recruiting trail heavily in 2017, and as a result he acquired a variety of talent. Meyer and company signed five five-stars, 14 four-stars and two three-stars to this year’s class, according to 247 Sports. The Buckeyes finished with the second-ranked recruiting class in the nation and the best in the Big Ten Conference after National Signing Day.

After an abysmal 31-0 performance in the College Football Playoff Semifinal against the Clemson Tigers, the Buckeyes made getting some offensive playmakers a priority.

In the latter part of the season, Ohio State’s passing offense struggled. They signed three wide receivers to this year’s recruiting class, all of them are 6-foot-3 and over. With an emphasis on downfield threats, Ohio State should be a stronger offensive team in 2017.

The Buckeyes also got some help on the offensive line. They signed three offensive lineman to their recruiting class, putting some pressure on the upperclassmen to perform at a higher level. Ohio State allowed 28 sacks last season, eighth in the conference.
