4. Chase Young, WDE

The Ohio State Buckeyes went all the way to the nation’s capital, Washington D.C., to acquire to key talent and strengthen their pass rush on defense. Weakside defensive end Chase Young is a five-star prospect out of Dematha Catholic High School. He ranks as the eighth overall player, second-best at his position and first in the District, according to 247Sports.

The 6-foot-5, 251-pound prospect committed to the Buckeyes after being called out by another prospect at their camp, ironically. Young racked up 119 tackles, 37 tackles for loss, 19 sacks, five forced fumbles and two defensive touchdowns in his senior season at Dematha. He finished the season undefeated while leading Dematha to its fourth straight title.

The Buckeyes ranked seventh in the Big Ten last season with 28 sacks, well behind Michigan’s conference-leading 46 sacks. Young looks to strengthen a defensive unit in need of depth and talent at the position. Playing time will be hard to come by, but if anybody can crack the starting lineup, its Young.
