5. Trevon Grimes, WR

Wide receiver Trevon Grimes is one of three prospects looking to change the Ohio State Buckeyes’ fortunes in the passing game. The four-star prospect is out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, which is also where former defensive end Joey Bosa went to school.

Grimes is a 6-foot-3, 202-pound wide receiver who had his season cut short due to a torn ACL. He ranks 39th in the nation, fifth by position and seventh in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports. If this injury taught him anything, it taught Grimes how to increase his work ethic and prepare for the college game.

The Buckeyes were sixth in the Big Ten last season with 213.9 passing yards per game. They’ll look to change all that next season with this year’s crop of wide receivers. In their 31-0 loss to Clemson last season, the Buckeyes had zero passing touchdowns, two interceptions and just 127 passing yards in the game.

Despite finishing second in the conference in passing touchdowns (26), the Buckeyes struggled on the main stage. Adding Grimes to the fold should change things sooner rather than later.
