The latest on the Baylor University chaos, Clemson spring practice musings, and a bit of NFL combine news. It’s never boring in the world of college football.

Baylor might be in a bit more trouble than we realized. Texas state legislators have been calling for law enforcement outside of the college to take a look at the sexual assault allegations. This makes sense, as the school police might be a wee bit prejudiced in favor of their employers. Now the Texas Rangers are involved and Chuck Norris is going to come and kick some butt. Just kidding–that would be cool, though. It is true that the Texas Rangers have been asked through a legislative resolution to investigate the incidents at the college, and the governor of Texas has agreed. The investigation began on Tuesday. I will have more news as it unfolds.

The pressure is on at Clemson. Clemson alumni and fans have gotten used to having a winning team. After snagging a national title this season, all eyes are going to be on the team to repeat that feat, or at the very least finish in the top 5. The biggest question mark going into spring practice this season has been at the quarterback position. This is understandable-quarterbacks like two-time Heisman finalist Deshaun Watson are a rarity. It looks like it may be a scramble trying to replace Watson. The Tigers are looking at junior Kelly Bryant, redshirt freshman Zerrick Cooper and five-star recruit Hunter Johnson for the QB spot. Redshirt sophomore Tucker Israel also could be up for the position. So far no one has shown Watson’s promise, but we have a long way to go until the fall season.

Former Alabama linebacker asked to leave the NFL combine. Former Crimson Tide linebacker Reuben Foster didn’t last too long at the NFL combine. Foster, a Top-10 pick in April’s NFL Draft, was sent home from the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis according to ESPN. Foster allegedly had an altercation with a hospital worker during his pre-exam. That must have been an ugly fight because Foster was one of the top linebacker picks for many teams. He flew home to Tuscaloosa instead.
