Michigan Football: Police reports claim Jourdan Lewis dragged girlfriend

The details are beginning to emerge, although conflicting, regarding the domestic assault case of former Michigan football star Jourdan Lewis.

Things are not looking good for former Michigan football cornerback, and potential early-round draft pick, Jourdan Lewis. Just last week, he was accused of domestic assault by his girlfriend, but police couldn’t figure out what had happened nor who the aggressor was.

According to Angelique S. Chengelis of The Detroit News, new details have emerged via the police report, and they aren’t exactly consistent.

"Former Michigan All-American cornerback Jourdan Lewis, charged last week with one count of misdemeanor domestic violence, pushed his girlfriend to the ground by her throat, and she attempted to prevent him from leaving their apartment by grabbing onto his leg in an early morning incident, according to a police report."

Lewis and his girlfriend, Nikole Miller, were arguing over the light being on while he was sleeping and who paid the bills when the two got into a heated argument. She claims that he grabbed her by the throat and held her to the ground for a couple of seconds, but she doesn’t remember how she fell to the floor.

The All-American cornerback did admit to throwing pillows at Miller “pretty hard” but apparently had no intent of injuring her. This seems like a case that may not last long given that there are no eye witnesses and very little evidence besides minor scratches to Miller’s face, hand.

You never want to see incidents like this happening, especially over something so minimal as having lights on.
