LSU Football: Derrius Guice shows off Ed Orgeron impersonation (Video)
During 2017 SEC Media Days, LSU football star Derrius Guice was asked about Ed Orgeron and he offered up a hilarious impersonation of his coach.
Leonard Fournette is no longer roaming the backfield for LSU football, and there’s reason to be saddened by that as a college football fan. While Fournette was one of the most impressive backs in recent years, his backup, Derrius Guice, shined in his absence.
The Tigers have no reason to fear as Guice might just make fans forget about Fournette — at least this season. The junior running back is coming off a monster season with LSU, rushing for 1,387 yards and 15 touchdowns on 7.6 yards per carry. That was all while filling in for an injured Fournette, but still splitting carries.
Few running backs can put up those type of yards per carry numbers, but that just shows the type of potential Guice has — he averaged 8.5 yards per carry as a freshman in 2015.
Not only is Guice a fantastic ball-carrier, but he also possesses one heck of a personality which is something his fiery head coach, Ed Orgeron, has to be proud of. Would he be proud of Guice’s impersonation of the coach, though?
During SEC Media Days Monday, the running back was speaking about his coach’s constantly-high energy levels. He offered up a hilarious impersonation.
While he sounded more like Fat Albert, Guice seemed to get the deep-speaking Orgeron down pat. Would he do this in front of his coach’s face? Probably not, but that’s what makes this even better.

Orgeron has been widely-regarded as a player’s coach and seems to be a favorite of the programs he’s taken over in years past. Will he have the same positive effect on LSU in 2017, and beyond? It seems that way.
