Big 12 Football: When does each team begin 2017 fall camp?
Big 12 football is right around the corner, but when does each team in the conference begin 2017 fall camp?
Can you believe the 2017 college football season is nearly here? We are about a month away from the start of the season and Big 12 football will be under a microscope, especially with the addition of a conference title game.
Fans of the conference have been clamoring for a Big 12 Championship Game for years now seeing as it has led to the conference’s shutout in the College Football Playoff already. Unfortunately, there are no divisions in place, so the title game could be between two teams that have already faced — not exactly the perfect system.
Still, the Big 12 is taking steps in the right direction and there’s plenty to be excited about.
The conference did experience a major shakeup from its reigning champion, though. Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops shockingly announced his retirement, leaving the program in the hands of Lincoln Riley. Will the Sooners be the same without him?
Oklahoma State, along with the Sooners, is the favorite to win the conference in 2017, but teams like TCU, West Virginia and even Texas could push for the title.
Here’s a complete list of each program’s fall camp start date:
Baylor: July 27
Iowa State: July 30
Kansas: July 31
Kansas State: July 31
Oklahoma: August 3
Oklahoma State: July 30
TCU: July 30
Texas: July 31
Texas Tech: July 31
West Virginia: July 30
The 2017 season promises to be interesting with the title game in place. Could the conference get a team back to the College Football Playoff?

Who is your pick to win the Big 12 title, Oklahoma or Oklahoma State? Heck, there’s no reason anyone should be sleeping on TCU, West Virginia or Texas. The conference may be smaller than the other Power Fives, but it’s still competitive.
