Fortunately, the Trojans might only have to worry about their quarterback situation for one season as Clay Helton may have to replace Darnold in 2018 before Daniels gets to campus in 2019. However, there are rumors that Darnold could remain in school for the 2018 season.
If that’s the case, the Trojans would be Pac-12 favorites for the foreseeable future. The quarterback situation is arguably the most set in stone position on the team for years to come.
Daniels is ranked the No. 1 quarterback in the class and is the nation’s No. 4 prospect overall in 2019, according to the 247Sports‘ composite.
The Santa Ana, Calif., native has one heck of an arm. While watching his highlights, it’s obvious as to why he’s ranked the No. 1 quarterback in the 2019 class. He can hurl the ball 50 yards down the field with ease and put it in the perfect spot for his receivers.

This is just another case of the Trojans landing an elite quarterback. In fact, USC is becoming known for one of the top quarterback-producing programs in the nation. Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Mark Sanchez, Cody Kessler and now Darnold are just a handful of the recent names.
