Last Chance U, Season 1 star Ronald Ollie admitted he left Nicholls State this offseason and is looking for an FBS-level program to join in 2017.

‘Tis the season of ‘Last Chance U’ on Netflix. If you’re familiar with the documentary series and you’ve seen both seasons, you have to be familiar with some of the names that have come through the East Mississippi C.C. program.

Buddy Stephens recruits some of the guys who can’t make it at the FBS level due to off-field issues and academic reasons, giving them a “last chance” to earn scholarships from the big boys in Division 1.

Season 1 star Ronald Ollie was one of the more polarizing players to star on the show and he was a fan favorite early on. He was also one of Ms. Wagner’s favorite football players, eventually defying the odds to earn a scholarship with Nicholls State of the FCS.

In one season with Nicholls State, where he played with former EMCC teammate Marcel Andry, Ollie finished with 41 total tackles, two sacks and a fumble returned for a touchdown. However, he’s deciding to transfer.

According to Brad Crawford of 247Sports, the former ‘Lack Chance U’ star decided to pack his bags and search for a new home, preferably one at a higher level.

"“I guess I wasn’t happy there and chose to leave,” Ollie said. “There were other things going on to, but I wasn’t happy. I plan on playing again. A couple schools have called me. No major schools, so I’m just waiting and being patient. I can’t force it.”"

Ollie is waiting for “the call” from the next level. He’s hoping that an FBS program in need of defensive line help will come calling and he can finish out his college career on a high note.
