The UCLA Bruins, much like the Tennessee Volunteers, have had talent at the quarterback position for the last few seasons but have not quite lived up to the hype. UCLA also has a head coach, in Jim Mora, on the hot seat and he might not be with the Bruins at the end of 2017 if he does not up the team’s performance soon.

Redshirt freshman Devon Modster is the backup to star junior quarterback Josh Rosen. However, Rosen is almost guaranteed to enter the NFL Draft at the conclusion of this college football season. McMaryion could come in and almost immediately make a difference for the Bruins.

Modster is a good option for UCLA moving forward as a former four-star recruit. However, with the amount of injury prone QB’s the Bruins have thrown in the last few years, the more quarterbacks available on the depth chart the better.

The best option for McMaryion to transfer would be to stay in the PAC-12 since many of the offense would be similar and he could see the same sort of competition. Look out for McMaryion to make a move possibly to UCLA very soon.
