There’s a lot of options to choose from here, and not really a clear cut No. 1. Florida State, Ohio State, Alabama, etc. would all make solid choice in this instance. However, much like before the 2016 season, the Seminoles have the most potential to breakout as the best defense in the country.

With players like safeties Derwin James and Trey Marshall, cornerback Tarvarus McFadden, defensive end Josh Sweat, nose guard Derrick Nnadi, and linebacker Jacob Pugh, Florida State is the most skilled defense in the nation. And they have the athletes to take over a game on special teams at really any time.

However, if things go like they did last season for Florida State then no Fantasy College Football team would want to have this defense. This is, more or less, a gut pick that can go the right way but also has a lot of risk. A defense is never the first thought for any Fantasy team owner and that should continue of Fantasy College Football becomes a real thing.
