If there’s a trap game on this schedule, it’s this one right here. Sandwiched perfectly in between huge games against Florida and Auburn, the Gamecocks’ trip to Athens could mean serious headaches for the Dawgs.

More from Georgia Bulldogs

South Carolina improved quite a bit over the course of last season as freshman quarterback Jake Bentley progressed as a passer, and they should be much improved in his second year. As hard as it may be to believe, Will Muschamp is building something intruiging in Columbia.

With playoff hopes and an unblemished record on the line, though, UGA will find a way. A touchdown run from Sony Michel puts the Dawgs ahead in the fourth quarter, leading to a nervy ending in which the home team stop the Gamecocks on downs on their final drive.

It’ll have taken two straight down-to-the-wire finishes, but UGA will have locked up the East already with three games left in the season.

Final Score: Georgia 27, South Carolina 21 (8-1, 6-0 SEC)
