Last Chance U star running back Isaiah Wright is reportedly no longer with the Division II football program West Georgia.

One of the stars of Season 2 of the Netflix hit series Last Chance U, running back Isaiah Wright, is now no longer enrolled at the University of West Georgia, according to 247Sports. Wright committed to the Division II program last year after offers from bigger FBS schools fell through.

There was Power Five program sort of hype for Wright if he could have lived up to his potential. No indication of Wright transferring to a bigger school has emerged. Wright apparently left the program after attending Spring Practice earlier in the year.

This is not the first time that a superstar running back featured in Last Chance U flat lined after leaving East Mississippi Community College. Former EMCC running back D.J. Law is no longer enrolled at UAB after committing to the Blazers in 2015. Both running backs had the talent to be solid contributors at the FBS level if they kept their heads on straight after leaving Scooba.

Wright, at one time, had offers from big time teams like the Auburn Tigers, West Virginia Mountaineers, Iowa State Cyclones, and Indiana Hoosiers. However, injuries and negative attitude seemed to derail his chances at joining a big time program during the course of Season 2 of Last Chance U.

What’s next for Wright?

After leaving West Georgia, Wright is reportedly living with older brother Camion Patrick in Bloomington, Indiana. Patrick is finishing up his career with the Indiana football program.

We’ll see how Wright fares moving into the last few years of his college eligibility. However, the days are numbered for Wright to actually make a move to continue his college football career. It’s a shame to see one of the most popular players from both seasons of Last Chance U to no longer be enrolled in the football program that he recently committed to.
