5. Washington loses to Oregon but beats Stanford

The last five games are the toughest stretch of the season for UW. It starts against the UCLA Bruins on Oct. 28 and finishes up in the regular season finale against Washington State on Nov. 25.

In between the UCLA and Wazzu meetings, Washington has back-to-back games against Oregon and Stanford. Oregon looks like the easier opponent of the two matchups since Washington gets the Ducks at home. However, Oregon will be looking for revenge after a devastating 70-21 defeat last year.

Stanford carries a top 15 ranking into the season but most opponents will be ready for what they have to offer. Washington also dominated a Stanford team last year that actually had Christian McCaffrey. With McCaffrey gone, the Huskies should have an easier time preparing for Stanford.

A loss to Oregon could derail any hope of even getting back to the Pac-12 Championship Game that the Huskies could have.
