Virginia Cavaliers

2006 impact player: Ahmad Brooks, MLB #34, 97 overall
Today: LB Micah Kiser

In 2006, Ahmad Brooks ran Al Groh’s 3-4 defense to perfection. He had a strange career in college and the NFL after jumping in late and being a supplemental draft pick of the Bengals.

Returning to the 3-4 defense familiar from the Al Groh days, the Cavaliers have a return to inside linebacker as well.

The first year of impact players saw UVA with Brooks at 97 overall. I would imagine Kiser would also be at least a 95 overall and an impact player. He’s an All-ACC candidate and logged 133 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and a pick in 2016.

Kiser would be strobe light at a warehouse rave blinking on 4th-and-goal from the one-yard-line just ready to rip someone’s head off.
