This is the third commit for the Bulldogs in their 2019 class. Three-star dual threat quarterback Jalon Jones committed to Mississippi State on July 22. And three-star defensive end Drelan Porter was Mississippi State’s first commit in the class in February of 2016.

Head coach Dan Mullen continuously improves Mississippi State’s recruiting and Moore is his best commit during his tenure in Starkville. Former five-star recruit in the 2016 class, Jeffery Simmons, was another defensive end that Mullen landed. He’s shown the ability to recruit at the highest level on the defensive line.

With how high of level SEC defenses play at on a yearly basis, you have to recruit at a consistently high-level to compete. Alabama, LSU, Auburn, etc. are always getting recruiting classes in the top 10. Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, etc., have done a great job keeping up.

Moore also had offers from Ole Miss and Georgia. This is possibly the biggest commit for Mullen and Mississippi State in program history. Moore is a program changing sort of talent. He could have the effect on Mississippi State like Ed Oliver did with the Houston Cougars as a freshman.

Something to watch come the 2019 college football season is Simmons and Moore getting the chance to play alongside each other. Simmons is entering his sophomore year and he will be a senior when Moore is a freshman.

Bringing in a player like Moore could attract more defensive recruits of his talent level. Four-star defensive end Nathan Pickering already has an offer from Mississippi State and would be a huge get for Mullen.

Mississippi State fans will be excited about the future ahead and how well Mullen is recruiting. The future is bright in Starkville.
