2. Duo of J.T. Barrett and Mike Weber

Barrett and Weber combined for 18 rushing touchdowns in 2016. Both players are among the best at their positions and have the ability to defeat any opponent with their rushing attack. Weber’s production tailed off at the end of 2016. But a return to his production level at the beginning of the season would have him trending up again.

The receiving corps has a few players that could have breakout seasons. Terry McLaurin and Parris Campbell have the most returning experience at receiver. Neither eclipsed the 200 yard receiving mark last year. Redshirt senior tight end Marcus Baugh can help pick up the pace.

If Barrett rushes for more than 1,000 yards along with Weber, both could be Heisman finalists. Barrett was considered among the Heisman favorites, at some point, during each of his four years as a starting quarterback with the Buckeyes.

The ultimate goal for Barrett is to lead Ohio State to a National Championship and win the Heisman. He’s led the Buckeyes to the College Football Playoff on two occasions without winning the National Championship as a starter. This could finally be the year.
