3. Colorado State will win

For some reason, not many people seem to think that the Rams can hang in this game. CSU faces three power five schools this season, Oregon State being the first. The Rams will face Colorado and Alabama, later on in the season. The Rams have to make a statement in the opening game of their new stadium. Not only to their non-conference foes, but also to their conference foes such as Wyoming and Boise State. Colorado State will have a chance to challenge these teams in 2017, and a win over Oregon State will prove that.

As stated, the Rams defense should be improved over last season. The offense is as good as anyone could want it to be. Colorado State also has an influx of talent making their way to the field that head coach Mike Bobo and his staff have recruited, in particular players from their connections in southern states. Bobo has gone to a bowl in each of his first two seasons, but fans are ready to see CSU contend for the conference championship and this looks to be the year it’ll happen.

Players that will be essential to a win will be QB Nick Stevens, RB Izzy Matthews, and WR Michael Gallup. These three are impact players for CSU’s 2017 season and should be the main reason the Rams are able to win this game and then turn their attention to their rival, the Colorado Buffaloes. The beginning of a new era in Colorado State football will begin with a win over the Oregon State Beavers.
