2. Seven different Bulls score touchdowns
Speaking of points, the Bulls are going to be creative in their trips to the endzone. They’ll miss running back Marlon Mack who is currently turning heads in training camp with the Indianapolis Colts. Yet, they do return the most important piece of their offense, quarterback Quinton Flowers.
Flowers could be called the poor man’s Lamar Jackson. He lacks the arm strength of Jackson, but more than makes up for it with his elusiveness and quickness. He’s just too slippery to bring down. Even if the Trojans do get to him, they won’t be able to put enough pressure on to prevent him from getting the ball out to one of his many weapons in the passing game such as Rodney Adams.
Strong is going to run up the score. But he’s also going to want to get as many SportsCenter Top 10 plays as he can. Nobody likes getting fired, and Strong certainly will take the high road when it comes to addressing the national media. He’s a class act. When it comes to the football field he won’t be as merciful.
San Jose State finds themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. After jumping out to a substantial lead on the legs of their quarterback, the Bulls will look to get a bevy of players as much experience as they can. That goes for returning players like running back D’ernest Johnson and tight end Mitchell Wilcox as well freshman receivers Chauncy Smart and Kevaughn Dingle.
