2. Bryce Love will rush for more than 200 yards and two touchdowns

This is Love’s chance to shine on the national stage. He sat in Christian McCaffrey’s shadow for the last two years. However, his yards per carry average is incredible through his first two seasons. Love averages 7.2 yards per carry in his career.

One of the best games Love had last year was against Rice. With only seven carries, Love rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown. He added 168 total yards and one touchdown in Stanford’s bowl game against the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Rice did not have the ability to stop the run last year. Stanford is the toughest rushing attack they’ll face with the possible exception of Pittsburgh. The passing game is not as big of a threat and the Cardinal should focus on getting past Rice on the ground.

Amassing more than 200 rushing yards should not be a huge issue for a running back like Love against a defense like Rice.
