Oklahoma State football opens up its season by facing off against in-state opponent Tulsa on Thursday. Here are three bold predictions for the game.

Its that time of year again, the one we all have been waiting for, the beginning of college football. Last week was a soft opening of sorts with just enough games to wet your appetite for more football. Week 1 gets kicked off on Thursday and while there aren’t any big match ups there are plenty of big time programs on the schedule.

In the Pac-12 Utah will take on North Dakota and Arizona State takes on New Mexico State. The SEC has one team in action as Arkansas will take on Floridia A&M. In the Big Ten, Minnesota kicks off against Buffalo and Ohio State takes on Indiana in a rare Week 1 conference game. The lone Big 12 game is Oklahoma State facing off against Tulsa.

Oklahoma State and Tulsa will be televised on FOX Sports 1. Tulsa comes into Boone Pickens Stadium looking to build upon last years 10 wins. They will have to do so with out quarterback Dane Evans. Oklahoma State welcomes back star quarterback Mason Rudolph and all-everything receiver James Washington to what may be the most entertaining offense in the country.

Oklahoma State is ranked No. 10 and No. 11 in AP and Coaches Poll respectively, but do not expect a blowout. Phil Montgomery had the offense humming last season and can score with anybody. Tulsa wants to make statement against a top 10 opponent with its eyes on AAC Championship.
