Baylor almost beat West Virginia last year. They came up three points short. Head coach Matt Rhule has a rebuilding process. Baylor’s an underdog in most Big 12 contests. West Virginia needs to take care of this.

Another 10-win season starts with games like this. Baylor was a tough test for WVU last year. It was WVU’s final win. They came up short against Miami in the Russell Athletic Bowl. A win over Baylor could make West Virginia undefeated against Oklahoma State.

Rhule surprised by announcing Arizona transfer Anu Solomon as starting QB. Sophomore Zach Smith was expected. Solomon’s the more experienced option. He struggled with the Wildcats recently.

West Virginia and Baylor traded victories recently. Neither has won two consecutive. The trend changes this year. Baylor does not have the same talent as West Virginia.
