Arizona State vs New Mexico State live stream: How to watch online
Here’s how you can watch Thursday evening’s Arizona State vs New Mexico State game from Tempe, Ariz., online.
The 2016 season was a disappointing one for Arizona State head coach Todd Graham. He was entering the year with a 34-19 overall record in Tempe in four years with the program and things seemed to be looking up. Boy, was that not the case.
In fact, the Sun Devils took a step back in 2016, going just 5-7 and missing out on a bowl game. They struggled mightily on both sides of the ball as the offense was ranked 81st in the nation and the defense was 127th. That needs to change this year, and should with the return of Manny Wilkins at quarterback and addition of Blake Barnett.
Moreover, the duo of Kalen Ballage and Demario Richard in the backfield could be unstoppable, if utilized correctly. This team should be headed back to six-win territory in 2017.
On the other side of the field Thursday night will be New Mexico State. The Aggies were one of the worst teams in the Sun Belt last season, and that’s not saying much. They finished just 3-9 and boasted a decent offense (61st nationally) while having the nation’s 121st-ranked defense.
With 14 returning starters, can the Aggies make a quick turnaround? Traveling to Tempe for a Week 1 matchup won’t be easy.
