No. 2 – Austin Allen throws two picks

Interceptions were a huge problem with Allen last year. The offense could not stay on the field. Austin Allen was not careful. He threw 15 interceptions. Lowering that number could keep the Razorbacks in games.

The Arkansas offense doesn’t rely on the pass. Allen has to be good enough to get by, but the Hogs are a run first team. Jared Cornelius is the primary receiver, but Deon Stewart could be big too. Drew Morgan was the primary target a year ago, but he departs the Razorbacks. Someone needs to step up.

The interceptions will not go away. Allen throws interceptions against weak secondaries. Arkansas runs away with this game, but Florida A&M gets extra possessions. Allen tossed two picks in last year’s opener.

Allen could be improved and those improved numbers should be reflective in touchdowns. SEC West secondaries aren’t forgiving. Alabama, LSU, Auburn, etc. eat opposing QB’s alive. Allen has experience against top competition, but there’s more improvement that needs to be made.
