Game one is in the books and Arkansas football improved to a 1-0 on the season, downing Florida A&M at home in the Razorbacks’ season opener.

Arkansas plodded out to what might have been one of the most unimpressive 21-0 leads that college football has seen in quite some time. The offense was ineffective for much of the first half, but managed to put three sustained drives together, capped off by a David Williams 4-yard touchdown run.

Florida A&M was clearly outmatched, and was done no favors by a strange penalty that cost them a time out every single quarter of the game. The Rattlers were not wearing legal uniforms, and apparently that penalty came in the form of timeouts lost. Apparently they didn’t pack any extra uniforms because they came out in the second half in all whites once again.

The Hogs picked up a loose ball early into the third quarter and returned it for a touchdown. That would just about end any hopes of a Florida A&M comeback, giving the Hogs a 28-0 lead less than two minutes into the second half.

1-0 is the best start the Hogs could ask for in the score book, but what did we learn about this Razorback team in Week 1?
