Ohio State football is staring down a potential upset as Indiana leads the Buckeyes at halftime in Bloomington, 14-13.

Don’t look now, but the Indiana Hoosiers are giving Ohio State football a run for its money. After two quarters in Bloomington, the Hoosiers lead the No. 2 Buckeyes 14-13.

It’s been a quiet performance for J.T. Barrett.

In fact, the senior starter has been non-existent offensively. His inaccuracy has hurt the Buckeyes through the first half, completing just 10-of-21 passes for 95 yards. Is he the right answer for this team in the long-run? That question has yet to be answered.

The Buckeyes do have a bright spot, though, as freshman running back JK Dobbins, filling in for an injured Mike Weber, has impressed. He has accounted for 107 yards on 15 carries, looking like the next star in the Buckeyes’ backfield.

Indiana, on the other hand, has been playing well defensively. The Hoosiers have held Barrett in check with the improved secondary under new head coach Tom Allen. Holding the electric Buckeyes to just 95 passing yards is impressive, to say the least.

On offense, it’s been the Simmie Cobbs show for the Hoosiers. He has made a number of one-handed catches and has seven total receptions for 98 yards and a score. There’s a chance he could be the Big Ten’s best receiver this season — a real surprise.
