SEC Football: 5 teams on upset alert in Week 1

Week 1 isn’t a big one for every SEC football team, but for a few, it’s upset alert time. Which five teams should be on alert?

The SEC is ready for another big season, although they could have finished up bowl season a whole lot better. The conference went 6-6 in the aftermath of bowl season.

Now, each team begins the 2017 season with a fresh slate. The biggest season opener in all of college football has instantly become the Florida State Seminoles versus the Alabama Crimson Tide in Atlanta, Ga.

The Crimson Tide put their number one ranking on the line in game 1 of the season against a chippy Seminoles’ squad led by quarterback Deondre Francois.

That’s not the only ACC versus SEC matchup, either. The South Carolina Gamecocks face the NC State Wolfpack in Charlotte. The Louisville Cardinals and Purdue Boilermakers face off in Indianapolis. On Labor Day, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Tennessee Volunteers meet in Atlanta.

Conference bragging rights and a whole lot more are on the line in Week One it looks like. Here’s a glimpse at some teams who should be on upset alert.
