Washington Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Rutgers

2. Taylor Rapp gets two picks

Rapp is a potential All-American. Washington suffered quite a few losses in the secondary. Kevin King, Budda Baker, and Sidney Jones are all gone. Rapp is one of the most talented players on this defense and the best among the defensive backs.

He needs to lead by example for players like redshirt freshman cornerback Byron Murphy. Rapp picked off opposing QB’s four times last year. That number should only increase with a larger role. However, offenses might start throwing away from him now.

Junior strong safety JoJo McIntosh starts also. The safeties anchor down the secondary. And Rapp could be the next in line to get drafted into the NFL from the Washington program. Yet, the corners do not measure up like last year.
