Clemson football didn’t waste any time picking up where they left off in 2016. The Tigers made easy work of Kent State in Week 1. Here’s what we learned.

It wasn’t even close. Clemson made easy work of Kent State in Week One, winning by a final score of 56-3. The Tigers led 28-3 at halftime. They outgained the Golden Flashed 326-54 in total yardage, 16-3 in first downs and did not allow a passing yard in the first half.

Clemson scored on their first three drives of the game. C.J. Fuller scored on a 26-yard rush. Then quarterback Kelly Bryant came back to throw a 61-yard strike to wide receiver Deon Cain.

The defending national champions didn’t seem to lose a step to start off their 2017 season. Seven different Clemson Tigers players scored a touchdown on offense in the game. By the end of it, Clemson had gained 665 total yards of offense and 34 first downs while going 6-of-10 on third down conversions. Not a bad start for the Tigers considering they had a starting quarterback to replace.

Quarterback Kelly Bryant was able to start the 2017 season off with a bang as were others. Here’s a look at three things we learned from Clemson’s victory over Kent State.
