UCLA football’s offense was electric in their win over Texas A&M, led by more than 400 passing yards from star quarterback Josh Rosen.

The UCLA Bruins pulled off one of the most improbable comebacks in recent memory. They defeated the Texas A&M Aggies after being down 44-10 in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Josh Rosen led the Bruins to score 35 unanswered points to win the game.

This collapse was more on the Texas A&M Aggies than it was on UCLA for making the comeback. While this was a tremendous effort by Rosen and the Bruins, Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin is on the hottest seat in college football.

Rosen was able to start this comeback with some help from a really good receiving corps. Most of the focus on UCLA’s offense entering the season was on Rosen and running back Soso Jamabo. Not many people gave players like senior receiver Darren Andrews or redshirt sophomore tight end Caleb Wilson much credit. Wilson was not even the favorite to start at tight end entering the season.

The receiver duo of Andrews and Jordan Lasley proved lethal against the Aggie secondary. Once Rosen started getting more time to find his receivers, Texas A&M’s defense opened right up. The Aggies relied on the rush to get to Rosen in the first half. Once head coach Jim Mora figured out how to protect Rosen, the game changed completely.

Wilson led the entire team in receiving with 203 yards on 15 catches. After that effort, Wilson should be the starter now. Andrews added 147 yards on 12 catches and also got in the end zone twice. Lasley had a good game as well with 100 yards and one touchdown.

Moving forward, opposing defenses will have to pay more attention to Wilson and Andrews. Both looked like NFL level talents in Week 1. Andrews is one of the better receivers in the Pac-12 and will be an NFL Draft pick next year. Wilson is a name to watch for the next few weeks to see if he can keep up the same production level. This is a group of targets that can help Rosen become the best quarterback in the country.
