The 2017 college football season has officially gotten underway and fans have some interesting storylines to follow after Week 1.

What an opening week it was for college football fans. There was plenty to watch for heading into the first week of the season, not including Week 0, and everything seemed to live up to the hype. If Week 1 is any indication, the 2017 season has the feel of a wild, crazy campaign.

Could this be the second coming of the chaotic 2007 campaign? History has a tendency to repeat itself and that might just come in the form of the 2017 season. It is, in fact, the 10-year anniversary of that unforgettable season.

We saw epic comebacks, feel-good moments, major upsets and coaches starting the season with their new teams — some not so well. It was an interesting week of play.

As for the national title contenders, the opening week was business as usual — except for Florida State. The Seminoles lost to Alabama and their starting quarterback, Deondre Francois, has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury.

Clemson looked solid under first-year starting quarterback Kelly Bryant and the Tigers’ quest for back-to-back titles is well underway. Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Michigan and others also took care of Week 1 opponents and there weren’t many upsets near the top of the college ranks.

Let’s take a look at the 10 biggest stories, though, to grace the college football landscape in Week 1.
