3. Home field advantage gives Razorbacks the edge

The 2016 meeting between TCU and Arkansas took place at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, TX. If Arkansas could win in overtime on the road, logic tells you that they can do the same at their home stadium.

Logic rarely tends to play out for the Razorbacks, though. Head coach Bret Bielema consistently gets Arkansas to a bowl game, but not much further. Is this the year that the Razorbacks can finally get over the hump and contend in the SEC West?

A 2-0 start in non-conference play would be a good start. Moreover, a victory over a top 25 Power Five conference team would give both Arkansas and the SEC a better resume. The Razorbacks could take advantage of starting out their 2017 schedule with two home games.

Arkansas had an impressive show out in their first home game of the 2017 campaign. They get a rest with a bye week in Week 3. Meanwhile, TCU has the SMU Mustangs and Oklahoma State Cowboys to worry about for the two weeks after. Those odds favor Arkansas.
