Louisville Football: 3 bold predictions vs. North Carolina
Louisville football escaped with a victory in Week 1 against the Purdue Boilermakers. Can they build momentum in against North Carolina?
The Louisville Cardinals took a hit in the rankings in Week 2. Their narrow victory over the Purdue Boilermakers ended up scaring off some voters. If Louisville cannot take care of Purdue then what will they do against better competition in the ACC?
This week, we get our first look at Heisman winning quarterback Lamar Jackson vs. a quality ACC opponent. The North Carolina Tar Heels are not the same team they were for the past two seasons but they should still be a bowl team.
The matchup between two very athletic, dual threat quarterbacks should be fun to watch. LSU transfer quarterback Brandon Harris gets his final shot at making a positive name for himself with UNC in 2017. Harris did not have a great tenure during his time in Baton Rouge.
It’ll be interesting to see which direction UNC head coach Larry Fedora goes in. Harris was pulled last week against the California Golden Bears. Backup quarterback Chazz Surratt played much better than Harris, totaling more than 200 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers. Meanwhile, Harris did not throw for even 70 yards and also tossed two picks.
UNC and Louisville both get their first taste of ACC play in 2017 in this meeting. The Cardinals enter with a 1-0 record after defeating Purdue by seven points last week. The Tar Heels enter with one loss after coming up short against Cal by a five-point margin last week.
Now, let’s take a look at 3 bold predictions for Louisville vs. North Carolina in Week 2.
