Oklahoma State Football: 3 bold predictions vs. South Alabama
1. Mason Rudolph goes over 500 yards and five touchdowns
Last season, we got to see what Mason Rudolph can really do. He threw more than 450 yards on two occasions, against the Kansas State Wildcats and Pittsburgh Panthers. However, South Alabama has to stay competitive for Rudolph to rack up these type of numbers.
If the Pokes dominate South Alabama, then Rudolph will put up the same type of stats he did last week where he threw for less than 325 yards and three touchdowns. Rudolph was pulled for backup quarterback Taylor Cornelius in the second half.
The weapons are there for Rudolph to rack up 500 total yards and five touchdowns. Gundy needs to field to open up enough to feel comfortable having Rudolph keep the ball on the option play. That’s something that generally happens when the passing attack is working well.

Rudolph was only one touchdown off five total touchdowns in Week 1. He added one rushing touchdown on a three yard quarterback keeper to add on to his three passing touchdowns. While getting these type of numbers is unlikely, it’s certainly possible.
