Tennessee football is riding an emotional high off a nail-biting win over Georgia Tech but don’t expect this wave of confidence to crash against Indiana State.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Tennessee Volunteers football game added to an already incredible opening weekend of college football. Tennessee miraculously held on in overtime to beat Georgia Tech but it wasn’t just the fans that felt that rush of relief turn to confidence.

Going into their second game against Indiana State, the Vols are feeling good and you can bet it’s gonna show on Saturday. Here are three things that I am predicting from Butch Jones and his Volunteers in their first home game of the season.

3. Tennessee puts up 60-plus points

The Vol’s top receiver from last season, Jauan Jennings, suffered an injury against Georgia Tech in the second quarter. Most teams would have struggled after such a loss but not every team has Marquez Callaway.

In the second half alone, Callaway walked off the field with four receptions for 115 yards and two trips to the end zone. The deep threat level is high with Tennessee thanks to Callaway and frankly, Indiana State’s defense is no match for this high flying threat.

So what happens after Callaway and his fellow Vols establish the passing game? Well, that’s when Tennessee unleashes Junior Running Back, John Kelly. Kelly got 19 carries for 128 yards giving him a 6.7-yard average. He not only has the vision but the speed to find gaps and create huge gains on the ground which helped him chalk up four touchdowns this past Monday.
