Week 1 was amazing, but Week 2 should be even better. Ohio State football will take on Oklahoma in a top-five matchup.

Ohio State vs. Oklahoma is a rematch of a game that was played last year. In last year’s installment, the Buckeyes bested the Sooners, 45-24. And since that game, Oklahoma has rattled off 11 straight wins. The 11 game-winning streak features nine games with double-digits victories. There was only one game that was closer than a touchdown.

Will the Sooners extends their win streak to 12? Or will the Buckeyes show that the Indiana first half was truly only just a blimp?

Here are three things to watch for during the Ohio State vs. Oklahoma game:

3. JT Barrett’s Evolution

I have been saying this for the past few weeks. JT Barrett can not throw the ball the down the field. And it showed again in the Indiana first half.

It was so bad in that first half that Urban Meyer looked to his freshman running back to win him the game, instead of his senior quarterback. During that game, Barrett was 0-for-9 throwing the ball more than 15 yards down the field. That is the worst of any Power Five quarterback.

That is a bad sight for a championship team. It worked against Indiana. But more than likely would not have worked against Oklahoma. And also against Oklahoma, it will be a shootout.

At this point in his career, Barrett has shown he can not throw the ball down the field. This would be a great game for Barrett to show his vertical passing game, because he will need it.

Barrett just needs to throw and complete a few deep balls to take the top off the Oklahoma defense. And if he can the Buckeyes will have an easier game.
