UCLA football: 5 bold predictions vs. Hawaii game in Week 2
By Zach Bigalke
This week, UCLA football welcomes Hawaii to the Rose Bowl. Here are the bold predictions for how things will transpire in Week 2 against Hawaii.
In Week 1, UCLA survived a 34-point deficit against Texas A&M in the craziest comeback so far this season. Josh Rosen threw four fourth-quarter touchdowns en route to the 45-44 victory in the home opener. It yielded plenty of hot takes in both directions, as Rosen simultaneously became an instant Heisman contender for some and instantly overrated for others.
After taking on an SEC team whose coach’s job is in jeopardy, UCLA now turns its attention to a rising team in the Group of Five.
Hawaii has already won two games to start its season. The Rainbow Warriors survived one of the biggest possible cross-country road trips, from the islands to Amherst, in a 38-35 squeaker against UMass. They then flew back home and took on FCS Western Carolina in their home opener. At Aloha Stadium, Hawaii gave up nearly 500 yards to the Catamounts but still came away 41-18 victors.
UCLA, now sitting just on the edge of the AP Top 25 with 82 votes in last week’s poll, cannot take their opponent lightly in Week 2. Here are five bold predictions about how things will go down in Pasadena on Saturday when the Bruins face Hawaii.
